Reunion embarks on local fuel production



The island’s project aimed at the production of a micro-algae based bio-fuel has recently advanced through a significant stage with the signature of a partnership between BIOALGOSTRAL and IGV GmbH.  A pre-industrial prototype will get off the ground during 2011.
By then, Reunion will have already produced its first litres . . .
It should be noted that it is the Argentine group CHUBU that made it possible to convert the primary material produced in Argentina into bio-fuel for this world debut and the German group, VTS, to adapt it to aviation.
